Erinyes Game

You, Hephaestus, Artemis, and Apollo point at Aphrodite. She and Hera point at Apollo.

"Wh-what?" Aphrodite's hands tremble. "Hestia, you..."

Unable to meet her gaze, you exchange a glance with Hephaestus. In the moments before her death, how could you explain to her that you secretly suspected her, and formed a plan with the others to get rid of the threat? You had gone with your gut, and that was the conclusion you reached.

"I'm so sorry, Aphrodite," you mumble.

Her eyes mist over, but she smiles through her tears. "I'd be more hurt if you were wrong, but you're not. You've gotten rid of a Fury now, so be proud of that. Good luck, Hestia. You too, Hephaestus."

With that, Aphrodite's choker glows pink and white. Flower petals start to fall from it, and while you don't recognize the flowers, you can faintly smell some terrible scent emanating from them. As Hephaestus covers his nose and mouth and recoils in his chait, the choker emits a tiny syringe that stabs into Aphrodite's neck, injecting something right into her bloodstream. She chokes, unable to breathe, as the flower petals continue to fall. Her face turns a terrible shade of purple and she collapses, unmoving.

"That was awful," you sigh, getting up out of your chair. "I really did think of her as my friend."

"So did I." Hephaestus's voice is muffled by his hands. He casts a guilty look at Aphrodite's body before leaving the room.

Apollo and Artemis both glare at Hera, who rolls her eyes and shrugs. Not wanting to get in the middle of any confrontation, you head to your bedroom.

That night, your dreams are pale pink and white, a flower field of poisonous blooms. You know that they're deadly, and yet you gather armfuls of flowers and make yourself a bouquet that slowly drags you down, down, into the earth.
