It is found out that the pendulum is a piece of alien technology constructed by the Consu with the ability to reanimate and control dead soldiers. With your knowledge, the artifact could be used against the Consu in the upcoming assault. Rumor has it however that the CDF's battle against the Rraey is not going well, and the CDF could use this sort of experimental technology.
