A shadowy figure

Due to the fact you couldn't ignore the sound, you decide to walk into the building. Upon entering, you can see the apartment complex was in much worse shape than you had originally believed. After stepping foot on first floor, you can feel it give way slightly into your step. The wall creaks form the pressure on the unused surface, and lowers slightly. As you walk a decent bit into the apartment complex, you see the source of the sound. A glass pane has a small hole in it, and the wind is blowing in gusts against the whole, creating a creepy, bird-like sound. Just as you continue to walk back out of the building, the floor starts creaking significantly more. A moment later, your foot falls through one of the boards and the floor collapses. You start falling, but are soon stopped as your head gets caught on a rope dangling off of the hole in the floor. All of your weight is dangling by your neck, and soon you pass out from lack of oxygen. The world is forever dark for you as you fade into death.
