In The Day
You're not sure why it's such a big deal to not get a straw, so you find yourself wondering why the waitress even asked.
"And what can I get you to eat?"
"Oh, we should try the vegetarian option of monster tots!" your friend exclaims to you.
"I mean," you say, "Sure, we can try that out this time."
The waitress writes down our orders before nodding and walking to the kitchen to place our order.
"We're so helping the Earth right now," your friend smiles.
"What do you mean?"
"Plastic straws are so bad for the environment because they never fully decompose," they explained, "And meat production is bad for the environment, too."
You nod to your friend in agreement, but in reality your really confused of how they know all of this information or why they know that information.
