The Book
As you leave the cafeteria a few minutes later, you begin to think to yourself that you don't actually want to get rid of the book. You decide that it doesn't matter what your friend said, you want to keep the book anyways. As you try to walk through the doorway, an invisible barrier stops you. You push it, trying to get past it, but it throws you back and everything goes dark as you fall.
You wake up in a dark dungeon cell and a tall, elegant woman is standing in the cell with you. She begins to explain. "The book was a test. Three people from my kingdom are being chosen to go on a quest, and we needed a human leader. That would have been you, had you passed the test. Unfortunately, you lied, which shows that you are not honest. The test would have involved several other characteristics too, had you passed this part of it. However, you did not, and I must remove this from your memories. Drink this, and it will be as though this never happened."
She hands you a cup filled with a bright blue liquid, sparkling and glowing much brighter than it should've in a dark dungeon cell.
