In The Day

You want to be polite and wait for your friend, but you're also really hungry. You walk down the stairs of the restaurant and choose to sit at the small table in the corner. The waitress looks over at you and smiles but doesn't approach you. It's like she knows that you're waiting for someone, because you would never go to a dine-in restaurant by yourself.

One minute...Five minutes...Ten minutes go by.

You look down at your phone. Is your friend even coming? You decide to text them because you don't know if you can wait any longer.

Text message: Hey, I was just wondering if you were still coming?

It only takes a few seconds before your phone dings.

You read the text.
