“I’m pretty hungry,” you say to Mark as you make a fake moan to show your stomach is empty. “Well dig in!” Mark says to you both as he opens up a refrigerator two times the size of the one you have at your own house. “How did you afford this?” you say in awe. “Oh, my dad and I just built it. He’s a great engineer,” Mark gloats. “Wow. I wish my dad could do that.” You tell them thinking of the possibilities if your dad was an engineer. You just finished counting the hundredth one when Emma shoves an Oreo down your throat. “Duhfliflis,” you say with a mouthful of chocolatey goodness stuck in your throat. “Hey, is there a bathroom in here?” you ask Mark. “Oh, that reminds me. I need to get more toilet paper. Oh and yes there is,” Mark explains. He climbs up the ladder and runs quickly into the house. You lay silently on the couch, scraping the gunk off from under your fingernails. Emma scoots slowly over to you. “Whatcha doing...?” She whispers. I’m just “perfecting” my fingernail. You say in a fancy voice. “Wanna play some street fighter 2 with me?” she asks. “Sure... unless you beat my butt!” you say defensively. “Oh relax, I won’t go that hard.” “Then let’s go!”
