The Office of Terror

You take your key out of your pocket and unlock the door. You go towards the elevator, as you start making your way to your office space. You exit the elevator and then suddenly the power flickers on and off. After a moment the lights go back on. As you walk you say, "That's weird. It's after hours nobody should be here." You want to investigate but you also don't want to be extremely late to the party. What should you decide to do?
