Outlander

The Unlock Spell in your book looks complex, but you think you can attempt it anyway. The Words of Power slip clumsily from your mouth, but it seems that the spell is beginning. A fine yellow mist surrounds the lock and flows into the tumblers. Unfortunately, the spell fizzles out as you finish casting it. You are about to give up when an explosive flash blows out the inside of the lock and the door swings slowly open with a barely audible creak.
You look furtively around, then make your escape.
