Out of Time
You’re in a coma, you likely aren’t going to be getting out any time soon. You decide to stay on the beach since it’s been a while since you’ve actually been to one.
As you turn to walk over to a more secluded spot, you hear your own mother say, “Why are you staring at us?” You turn around, wondering how you’ll get out of this one.
“Yeah, um, I’m this salesmen who sells, um, hospital gowns…”
“Then why are you on a beach?”
“Um, Um, Um…”
Before you get a chance to say anything else, you realize that there’s blood on your hospital gown, where an open wound near your heart has appeared. You fall onto the sand and seconds later, you die from cardiac arrest. In the real world, you flatline and your heart eventually gives out.
