You decide to research the subject a little more before you begin writing. After a few hours of research, you find that you've neglected one of the most basic elements of the story itself, the origin. Quickly, you divert your efforts to finding out the origins of Arthurian Legend, and here's what pops up. Arthurian Legend was first crafted through oral tradition, the passing of stories verbally from generation to generation. During the times of its initial genesis, within kingdoms, fighting broke out over matters of land control. In these dark and desperate times, an unknown person crafted a tale to inspire hope and positivity in a tired, bleak, and war-ravaged population. The people who bore the burden of the warfare the greatest were the peasants, who were forced to work the lands and harvest more crops to feed the fighting soldiers. You discover that, while not confirmed, the person after whom King Arthur was based on defended England against the Saxons. The great social strife of the peasants at the time lent itself to the creation of the King Arthur persona, a great and fair king under whom every class faired well and anyone could become a great knight who would serve his kingdom. King Arthur was the personification of the hope of the lower class. Pleased with your discovery of the origins of Arthurian Legend, you decide to begin writing.
