I didn't know what her problem was, and really, I didn't want to get into trouble.

This was unfamiliar ground to me, I didn't know the rules, guidelines, expected and unexpected. I fear that if go out of line even once, I would be kicked out instantly.

And I didn't want to take that chance.

I turned to the Professor, trying my best to ignore the angry girl.

"Anyway, my name is Professor Quarksworth, and I have assigned you two as partners."

My face instantly paled, and she was about to burst with anger.
