It was a success! The Raid on Dartmouth, also known as the Dartmouth Massacre occurred during Father Le Loutre's War on May 13th, 1751. Led by Joseph Broussard and joined by 60 Mi'kmaq and Acadia militia, they attacked the city of Dartmouth before dawn, and killed 20 British villagers and burned down 36 homes.
