Gold Rush Choose Your Own Adventure

This ship rocks along the waves. When you touch it, it feels like clothing, or leather. You said bye to your family and friends. The cold winter day was about to be the best day of your life. You always wanted to be a gold miner working in the gold fields. As soon as you go out of the harbor, “OW!” Something hard hit you. It was an ice cube. “Attention, as you may have noticed, ice cubes are falling inside of this ship. Please do as best as you can to get all of the ice off of this ship!” We got some ice off the ship one by one. It was hard, rough and so cold, that you only got the ice off one by one. Time passed by quickly. And as soon as the ship began rocking along the waves of the ocean, and as you might’ve expected at the first place, the ice cubes started melting right on in the middle of this ship as we headed for the middle of the Earth. Going around Cape Horn was not so easy as you expected. The waves rocked the ship as you started to eat chowder. All of the rocking and stuff is making you dizzy and sick. You go to your bed and think about what could possibly happen to this ship. It might crash into icebergs and sink into the bottom of the sea, it might go somewhere off track and end back where we started! Now, you decided to stop thinking about it because, you know, thinking about scary things make you more scared. Your ship finally stopped at Peru. As soon as you got off, you were welcomed by a several other ships fighting to get to California. They got some coal on their ship and you realized that your ship may need some more coal, so you rush, and tell the captain, “ Captain! We must load the coal bunkers with coal! What are we going to do if the ship stops right in the middle of the ocean?” “Hm… you might be right! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I ANNOUNCE YOU ALL TO GET COAL FROM OTHER PLACES! NOW!” We spread out and got coal. After a while, you stopped to get some water as well, at the markets outside. You also got some food to eat while on the rest of the trip to San Francisco. ou tried to go on the ship and then boom! The bottom of the ship rotten. You tell the captain about it, and he shrugs. "I don't know about that young fellow. PEOPLE! PATCH EM' SHIP UP LIKE A QUILT!"
