The Haunting of Lake Side Cemetery
Heading towards the back you climb over fallen logs and weave in between large trees. Finally you reach the bit of wall that is crumbling. This is probably how the kids got in, the barbed wire is cut and rolled back, so not an accident. This does make you worry that the cemetery gets squatters, but you figure this is unlikely as the haunted tales of Lake Side Cemetery are well known in these parts.
Slinging your duffel bag over one arm you easily get over the wall and land, with a thump, on the other side. It's dark in this part of the cemetery, the trees are thick. There are no graves in this section as this is technically the care taker's house private back yard.
You're glad you went over the wall because it is closest to the house. You decided that you'd break into the place and set up base camp. It's the end of September and getting kind of cold at night. You don't relish camping out among the dead and/or freezing.
Of course you've got a lot of daylight left still. You could go right to the heart of the cemetery where the oldest graves are. This is where the majority of the spooks seem to materialize- according to local sources. Or you could head down to the part of the cemetery that boarders the lake and check out the Deadman's Tree (another local legend).
Getting a drink of water from your thermos you carefully decide you're next move.
