Blissful Oblivion

I scrambled backwards, shot to my feet, and ran for all I was worth. I weaved around the stalagmites, running for anywhere, please just let there be somewhere, to hide. But, kinda hard to find a place to hide in a wide open canyon. I heard his feet pounding behind me, getting closer and closer. "wait!" He yelled. "Don't leave me alone again! I just want to figure this out!" Yeah, right. Creeper's tactic to lure in the little girl.
Suddenly I felt an impact against my back, and I slammed into the rock solid ground, all of the breath whooshing out of my lungs.
I squirmed and cried,
"Please! Don't hurt me!"
"I'm sorry," he said, his eyes hardening. "I can't let you go again."
He slammed my head against the rock behind it, and my vision went black.
