A Sherlock Holmes Case

"I'll take a quick look around, and while I do that, warm up to the family, and make sure the professor stays in sight." Watson nods, and the both of you split.

As you walk away from the low murmur of Watson greeting the family, you go on to explore the home. You quietly move around the home, and look at Edith's room, Mr. Bennett's room, and the Professor's room and study. Other than a funky pair of socks that Mr. Bennett owns and an expired tube of lipstick from Edith's room, you find nothing out of the ordinary.

However, you see that the Professor has opened an envelope and left it at his desk, and you see that it is the same letter with the cross under the stamp. You see if there is anything inside, but find that it is empty, and assume that the Professor has possession of its contents.

You look around for a while more, then go back to where everyone else is sitting in the living area of their home.
