A Sherlock Holmes Case

You go to your "General Utility Man" Mercer to find out more about this Dorak man. You find out from Mercer that Dorak is a Bohemian man from Prague. He is an elderly, suave man who owns a large general store in his city. Before leaving to go back home, you pass by the Professor's house to have a look around

You see the window that Edith was talking about, and sees that the only way for someone to get to her window would be by climbing the vines that grow alongside her window. This sort of exertion would be rather unlikely for a 61 year old man.

You hesitate for a second and think about going to confront the Professor once more to see if you could get anything out of him. However, after some thought, you decide not to, considering that the only time things seem to happen would be every nine days, and the next day to find out more would be next Tuesday.

Right when you thought this, you realize that whatever could be causing this mess could be a drug of some sort. People need to take drugs at specific time intervals, and maybe, whatever the Professor was taking was making him act up each of those nine days. And it must be a foreign drug from Prague, and Dorak is the supplier, and he sends specific letters with the drug every so often for the Professor.

After some thought, you continue to go home, and wait for next Tuesday to come around.
