A Sherlock Holmes Case

You shake your head, assuming that Edith would want to help her direct family rahter than her lover. "I do not see any sort of evidence that you would have that I could contradict with the fact that you could just be working with your father. Why should I listen to a testimony from his beloved daughter?"

Watson gives you a look for being so blunt, but you ignore it. You do not like to waste time with any case, and to you, Edith is doing just that. You turn back to Mr. Bennett, thinking that Edith will be escorted out by your maid. However, one look from Mr. Bennett's face, and you know that you just challenged the wrong woman.

Edith takes a second before stomping right over to you and Mr. Bennett, and takes a seat right next to her husband. By reading her expression, you can tell that she won't leave until you have listened to her.

She looks you square in the eye, then proceeds to say, "I do believe that what I have to say will be of great value to you, so you will listen to me, and not kick me out of your home as if I were a bum. Now, listen to what I have to say."

Watson shifts his stance uncomfortably, but you only sit back, and wait for Edith to carry on.
