You snuggle down under your cloak and fall asleep quickly. You wake up to the sound of birds and the smell of sausage cooking. Rising you see Ulius crouched over a small fire. "Mmmnnn," you say, "That smells great!"
Ulius looks up from his cooking, "Family recipe," he says with a wink.
You stow your gear and go over to join Ulius. "So sorcerer Ulius, where do you plan to travel after I have finished business at the castle?" you say.
"That will remain a secret for now," he says with humor in his voice. "I myself, love surprises."
"O fine, be that way," you say exasperatedly.
He looks up at you smiling and shakes his head, "Don't mind if I am."
He hands you a plate of sausages and a flask of water. You enjoy the early morning air and the wonderful food, not to mention slightly better company than yesterday. You decide traveling with Ulius won't be so bad, even though you are traditionally independent, and having someone to talk to definitely makes the time pass more quickly.
"Once we reach the castle I will show you a few places I would like to travel. I have many maps and would like to show them to you. We can map out our journey before we begin," he says.
