Scan and Edit
As soon as his brother walked out of the room, Caleb giddily turned back to the computer and selected Craig's scan information.
He couldn't understand why his brother was being so stingy. If he already made himself taller before then why couldn't he just do it again?
Right away Caleb saw that the most previous selected change was +2 inches in height.
[Re-initiate alteration?] The program asked upon selection.
Caleb thought to himself for a moment.
Wait...why should he make him taller at all? Why not try something funny and shrink him down instead? He could totally make his brother puny!..... like an ant!..... Or hey! He could even turn him INTO an ant if he wanted!")
The boy's impish imagination began to race.
"Haha yeah~ It would serve him right for being such a killjoy~" Caleb justified to himself.
A mischievous smirk formed on the sixth grader's face as he opened the species tab and picked out 'common black ant'.
[Transformation suitable?] The program asked.
"Going down~......" The boy giggled to himself as he reached down to the keyboard
Caleb was just a moment away from tapping 'y' when Craig appeared in the door way.
"Hey, you haven't been touching anything, have you?" Craig asked as he began to walk into the room.
Caleb simply looked back and smirked before hitting y.
Craig suddenly vanished half way into the room.
A [Transformation complete] message blinked on screen.
"Woooooahhhh...aweeesome~" Caleb gasped with excited disbelief as he slowly got out of the swivel chair and walked to the middle of the room where his brother had 'vanished'.
The socked ten year old scanned the polished hardwood floor as he carefully stepped forward.
The boy held his breath as his eyes locked on to a tiny black speck not far across the floor ahead of him.
Caleb grinned as he came to a stop directly in front of the puny black ant.
The insect remained totally still, even as the two enormous socked feet rested down flatly on the floor in front of it.
"Huh....How did this little ant get in here?~" Caleb taunted playfully.
Craig was too frightened to move. It was like a surreal nightmare. His little brother was suddenly looming over him like a mega sky scraper. The boy's head eclipsed the ceiling light, leaving his smirking young face cast in an ominous shadow.
Caleb felt an unexpected feeling wash over him as he stared down at the tiny speck in front of his feet. It was just a surreal, exciting moment as he realized that he could actually SQUASH his brother as if he were an actual bug...
(No.. right now, he WAS an actual bug) Caleb thought to himself. Just thinking it gave the boy a strange thrill.
"Haha...Wow. I can't believe I really turned you into an ant. So coooool~ " The boy taunted cruelly down at his transformed older sibling.
"C-CALEB! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!! C-CHANGE ME BACK NOW!!" Craig felt a mixture of angry and fear as he started to back away awkwardly.
"I could even squash you like one too!.." Caleb began to giggle as he lifted up his right foot into the air over the tiny black ant.
Craig was only just starting to become concerned with the strange warped expression on his brother's face when the underside of the boy's massive right foot suddenly lifted up into the air directly over him. Never before did the bottom of a foot seem so terrifying.
He had become too scared to continue observing this any longer. He began to skitter away as fast as his tiny legs could carry him.
"Hehe, think you can get away little buggy??~.." Caleb could feel his heart pounding in his ears as he hovered his foot over the pathetic fleeing ant. Though he was initially just playing around, the boy's better judgment was starting to slip into fantasy. The more he gave into this new exciting feeling, the more thrilling it felt.
As Craig fled for his life, he couldn't help but regret all the bad decisions he had made. He should have never left the room, he should have never told his brother how the device worked, he should have never bought the thing in the first place.
"TIME TO GO SQUISH~" Caleb muttered cruelly as he wiggled his socked toes and began descending his foot.
"C-CALEB!! NO NO!! STOP!!" Craig cried as he tried to escape the impossible. Deep down he knew that there was one result when it came to an ant vs human's foot, even if it only belonged to just a kid.
The vast cotton covered ceiling lowered closer and closer until barely an inch of space remained above him.
"CALEB STOP PLAYING AROUND! PLEASE STOP--!!" Craig cried as he skittered as fast as he could to the dimming parameter of light.
*THUD*
With a heavy thud, Craig's tiny form was totally crushed under weight giant foot.
Caleb bit his lower lip as he pressed down harder, not even detecting any resistance from the puny bug. The reality that he had just squashed his older brother underfoot still hadn't fully dawned on the boy as the 'exciting feeling' continued to radiate over his body.
The boy said nothing as he lifted his foot up and examined the dingy grey sole. There squashed into the fibers of his sock was a speck of unidentifiable black gunk.
"Hahah, Oops~" Guilty pleasure washed over Caleb as his heart pounded feverishly.
In the end, Caleb kept his promise to his brother. He wouldn't ever tell ANYONE..
