You head to the corner to look for anything useful. When you get to the corner, you look at it for a while to adjust your eyes to the thick darkness. When you finally get your eyes adjusted to the dark, you notice a white rag and an almost empty bottle of alcohol (possibly used for torture of some sort). You take the items, dab some alcohol on your wound with the rag, and wrapped the rag around it. The alcohol made the wound sting badly but soon made the cut more tolerable to handle.
