"Narcissist," muttered the other voice.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"You're making a hero who uses magic. If that's not a self-portrait, I don't know what is."

"That's... I'm an omnipotent Godlike being!" I shrieked. "How is that anything like using magic?"

"Given that you never set any limits to how powerful magic can be, I'd say it's pretty darn close," said the other voice.

"Yeah, well... you're an idiot," I said, finishing lamely. I shrugged him off, and started making the hero. I opted for a slender build, focusing less on brute physicality, and more for nimble dexterity. His face was suave and handsome, of course. "I think I'll call him Arcanus." The other voice scoffed, but said nothing.

I started in on the world around him, creating castles and dragons and enchanted forests brimming with magical creatures.

"And I suppose your hero is going to be the ruler and master of this world?" asked the other voice.

"So what if he is?" I said, getting defensive. "Being able to wield so much power, that still makes him a hero, you know."

"A real hero has limitations," countered the other voice. "Your hero can use his magic to do anything. He's not a hero. He's just a lesser version of you."

"Fine!" I yelled. "I'll limit how he can use magic, okay? Then I can prove you wrong! Magic is...
