The Curse of the Towne Motel

Wrong. It's not just a basement. As you decend the creeking stairway, a faint light reaches out to you from below, and the crackling of what sounds like torches burning fills the air along with a heavy, black smoke.

It seems as if you have entered a whole new world down here. Small vents in the roof allow some of the smoke to vent, but its residue and odor stick to your skin and clothes like a clinging vine.

You reach the bottom of the stairs and your heart skips a beat. Row upon row of torture instruments cover the floor and walls of the basement, including hot pokers, a rack, and even an iron maiden.

A scream sounds from the shadows in the back of the dungeon-like room.
