Catharsis of Cthulhu
Returning to the source of the strange happenings takes some time and gore, but you are able to make it there without any obvious damage.
Once you arrive, it is readily obvious that the mold has been growing and evolving. What was once a harmless looking black fuzz on the rocky landscape has grown into a strange coral like appearance with tissue-like appendages reaching and groping for whatever it is that allowed it to grow at such a ridiculous rate.
You run some of the same scans you had run only a few hours ago on the newly changed mold and find that these scans were now displaying obvious signs of biological life.
Immediately, you deduce that, by infecting the members of your crew, this mold may, in fact, be sentient and feeding on them.
What will you do?
