Oddity

At the door, there's a delivery man. He has a smallish package for you. You sign for it and take the package into your hands. You set it on the couch and search for a knife to open the tape with. You find a pair of scissors on the kitchen counter and cut the tape. Lying on top of the contents is a small letter. You recognize the address instantly. It's your penpal from England. You eagerly open it.
"Salutations!" he writes,
"It's a wonder to hear that's you're doing well. Things here are very nice, spring coming into summer. Things are pretty now, and it's a pleasure to enjoy them with my new belle, Beatrice. I hope the rest of your summer is a pleasure and I hope you find someone for yourself soon!
