Gripping the dagger, you climb out the window and go down the fire escape.When you hit the ground you take off into the alley yelling Carters name.When you get to the end and are facing the street you are about to give up when something disappears into the alley across the road.You chase after him and turn the corner to see him leap over a chain link fence.As he lands you shout his name and he turns to look at you.Behind him, on the fire escape up ahead you see something glint in the half-covered moonlight.A second later an arrow flies trough the air and grazes Carters arm.Over his wail you hear someone curse and you also see the arrow smack into the wall.It was silver!No wonder it hurt Carter so bad.You both turn to look at the attacker at the same time as the moon comes out from behind some clouds.You see a lean figure clutching what looks like a crossbow while knocking an arrow.The assailant is wearing a silver cloak and what looks like fatigues underneath.You cant tell if its a boy or girl because of the cloaks hood.
