Upper Hand: Zombie Apocalypse

No explaination, yet he accepts this. You look at his through your thick eyelashes and see him eyeing your blood stained hands and the brain matter splattered on your shirt. As he reaches for a towel from the shelf and goes to soak it in warm water, you close your eyes and sigh in 'exhaustion' for dramatic effect and begin your bullshit story.

"Sometime after you fainted I tried to bring you to a closed off spacce where zombies couldn't get to us, you were heavy and I was having a hard time bringing you here, but I was lucky and I met up with a friend of mine. His name was Dan and he was the one who carried you here, he also gave me his gun so I could defend myself. After we got here I found out he was infected and he asked me to shoot him and I..." you pause and look down at the tiles for further dramatic effect, "I got rid of the body through the window."

A gun would explain the blood splatter and the brain matter on the wall, ground and your clothes. He crouches again and he begins to wipe your face, hands and hair using the wet towel "I'm sorry you had to do that to your friend, were you 'really close'?"

"No." you finally say something with honesty.

He nods his head, he winces and coughs a bit when cleaning off a large chunk of brain off your shoulder, he then makes a gagging sound and runs to a toilet to barf out his most recent meal.

The sound of his vomit sploshing into the toilet fills the air, he get back to you and you suddenly have a feeling that his talking to you isn't just his loneliness and curiousity but him genuinely trying to get close to you. He wipes the side of his mouth using a clean towel "What happened to the gun he gave you?"

You tilt your head the side for a moment to look slightly at the window past the slightly open door, you've been conversing for a few minutes and it got even brighter out. "I tossed it out the window, it had no more bullets."

"Oh." again he just seems to accept this, nodding his head. "What do we do now?"

You don't want to go out due to the strength of the sunlight, and you are sure that the human is going to get himself killed if he goes out alone.

"We should wait for help to arrive. Get sometime to catch your breathe and shut eye." You say.

Some minutes pass and he sits beside you with his back against the wall, he is still awake, you have a feeling that he is waiting for you to start a conversation.
