Weapon

Jezirea was hardly one to look a gift sword in the mouth, so she knelt down quickly and grasped it firmly in her hands, picking it up. It was lighter than she had thought, and also warm.
Odd, she thought. It must have been sitting in the sunlight. She tried not to think about how long it had been since the sun set, or the fact that she didn't technically know how to use a sword. She'd never trained with larger close range weapons. Oh well, too late now.
She took a deep breath and turned to face the quickly approaching bandits.
That first shout had brought at least eight that she could see from nearby, five of them further away, but still quickly approaching. Jezirea took a deep breath to still her nerves as she readied the sword. The first bandit was close, and she began to swing the sword wildly, trying to keep him at bay. Her lack of skill with the sword must have shown as the bandits paused only to laugh at her before advancing closer. The second the first bandit came in range of the sword however, the voice spoke again.
Swing.
This time she swung the sword in a graceful arc, causing the bandit to have to leap backward to avoid being gutted. It looked like he might be thinking twice about the attack.
Block. Thrust.
Without even thinking about it, Jezirea's body reacted, blocking the attack that was coming towards her left flank. She hadn't even noticed one of the bandits sneaking behind her. She had only a second to digest this new information before her body moved again, this time impaling the bandit upon the sword. A wave of heat washed over her, and Jezirea mentally cheered. She normally tried to avoid violence, but this felt good. A little too good, but then again, they attacked her so they had it coming. The other five bandits had closed in on her now, and they looked pretty upset to be seeing one of their mates lying on the forest floor, bleeding out through his stomach.
Jezirea wasn't worried anymore. The sword obviously had magical properties, propelling her attacks as if she were a finely trained swordsman. Its instructions continued to come, and Jezirea made short work of the bandits until the last two fled, no longer having such a numerical advantage over her.
