Worlds Apart

The woman frowns, looking at the tutor and then back at you. The scar on her otherwise perfect face gives you a disconcerting feeling. For some reason, the image of looking into a pool of water and seeing a marred reflection comes into your mind.

"Perhaps she is just attempting to mimic us," the tutor says, drawing the woman's attention to himself once more. "In many ways, they are like children - always trying to emulate the adults around them and copy their behavioural patterns."

"Perhaps." The woman turns her attention back to you, studying you with a thoughtful look on her face. "Do you know who I am?" she asks finally, watching you closely.
