Worlds Apart

You're lying in your bed, staring up at the ceiling, when the alarm sounds to summon you and the rest of the clones to the Great Hall. With a sigh, you push yourself off the simple white mattress and step over to the far wall, closing your eyes as a warm spray soaks your whole body.

Once your body has been thoroughly cleaned, your skin is blow-dried. You then step over to the hatch, taking your pure white jumpsuit and unfolding it, pulling on the tight-fitting outfit and lacing up the white boots.

You then walk over to the keypad next to the door, pressing a few buttons to make it slide open. When it does, it's to reveal that there's the same corridor out there that's always been there.

You often feel like there's something wrong with you. Everyone else seems perfectly content to live here; no one else has any of the questions you have... any of the same desires to see more of the world than what you can just see now.

For everyone else, it's perfect. For you, it just feels like a prison.

Your Guardian is waiting outside the door for you, his face unreadable. He's big and hulking, a long scar down the left side of his face. He's always been very intimidating to you and has made no attempts to put you at ease with him.

As you start down the corridor, the Guardian falls into step behind you.

(The Guardian has joined your party).
