The Diamond Cavern

Welcome to The Diamond Cavern. Before getting started, there are a few things you'll need to write down, as well as getting 2 dice.

Items: You will need to record all the items you get during your adventure. These items will usually come with a brief explanation, and a lot of them can be used in battle.

Hit Points: This is how much life you have, you start with 50. This can increase or decrease.

Attack: This determines how much damage you give to your opponent, you begin with 10. This can also increase or decrease.

Defence: This determines how much damage you shield from your opponent, you also start with 10. This can also increase or decrease.

Speed: This determines if you are able to flee from battle. This starts at 10 and can also increase or decrease.

Attacking and Defending: This is the most important part of a game, since there are many monsters you will meet on your quest. Each monster has Hit Points, Attack, and Defence. Here is how attacking and defending works. (Note: You may use items any time during a battle unless specified.)

STEP 1: Roll a dice (the number you get is your number)
STEP 2: Roll the second dice (the number you get is your opponent's number)
STEP 3: If the numbers are the same, go back to step 1. If the numbers are different, move on to step 4.
STEP 4: Take the person with the highest number (either you or your opponent). That is the person who is allowed to attack and do damage to the other person.
STEP 5: To calculate the damage someone does, you take the attack of the attacker, and subtract from it, the defence of the defender. You then take the number you've got, and subtract that from the total hit points. If the number you get is 0 or less, then subtract 1 from the hit points.
STEP 6: Repeat this process until one of the players is defeated (this means they have no Hit Points left). Then you may move on.
NOTE: You may flee during a battle only if your speed is higher than that of your opponents, or if you have an item that allows you to, but most monsters carry important items, which you will receive if you defeat them.

That is all you need to know for now! I wish you luck adventurer, because you're going to need it.
