A Mystical Adventure

The man frowns at your story, apparently unconvinced at your lie, "Well, if you took out the guards for no reason, then there is no way I can help you. I hope that your stay here isn't as long as mine."

You sigh and sit in the corner of the cold cell, unsure whether lying to him was the best idea. You are left in silence for days after, until finally some guards come in and pull you out of the prison.

You feel your heart race as your arms are pulled behind you and tied together with rope. The men lead you outside of the prison where a crowd of watchers jeer and cry out in anger.

You're led to a stand in the center of the town square where a platform is set. The guards force you down, your head resting over a basket beneath you.

Adrenaline rushes through your veins as you realize what's going on. A shadow falls over you, and you turn your eyes to see a man with a black cloth over his face stand above you with a terribly sharp axe in his hand.

You close your eyes as the crowd's cries and laughter pound at your ears. The axe raises, and you feel a sudden sharp pain as your neck is severed.
