Beautiful Melody
Staring at my door, I wondered who was on the other side. It wasn't my parents since I could still hear my dad yelling and mom isn't brave enough to walk away while he's talking/yelling. With them out of the running, I knew it was one of my sisters or perhaps both.
Slowly I got to my feet and walked across my room to the door. I quickly unlocked it, my number one rule living in this house is 'keep the bedroom door locked' you never know when dad's going to freak out, and pulled it open. Both my sisters were standing in the hallway, sad looks on their faces.
Normally I would have gladly let them in, however today I felt like being alone. "Go away" I informed them and was about to shut the door when Nancy started to speak. "We were wondering if you would take us to the park." "Incase you haven't noticed, its pouring outside." I answered in irritation and was about to close the door yet again. "We don't have to go to the park, we could go to the mall or something" Cassie chimed in with a bit more force then Nancy. I held my door half way closed "Do you really want to walk in the pouring rain just to go to the mall where we have no money to spend?" of course I knew the real reason they were at my door, they were dying to get out of the house, and truthfully so did I.
