Universe

You enter into the musty and dark tavern. At first, you don't even think that it's open but then you see that in a shady corner there is a small bar with a few stools set up. The tavern has three inhabitants: a fat Bolzo man as bartender, a Chapin asleep in the corner, and a skinny Murando man sipping a drink quietly.

The bolzo grunts and gives out a loud belch as he sees you approach. His species has always reminded you of an Earthling toad and this man is no exception. He blinks rapidly as he sizes you up and down and then puffs on a large metal pipe.

"Whaddya want?" he asks, in a jarbled Human.

"Just a plain beer right now will be fine," you tell him and take a seat next to the Murando.

As you are served your drink, you sip it and notice the encompassing silence of the tavern. A radio plays static beats in the background but that is the only noise in the tavern, apart from the bartender's frequent burps and puffs.

After a minute, the Murando man turns his long neck towards you. As you look at him, you see that he is stretching his small, wrinkled face into what seems to be a large smile.

"Hello there, young Ranger," he speaks softly in his raspy voice.

"Hello," you say. "Do I know you?"

"No," he shakes his head. "But my name is Boolie. And if you allow me to, I can take you to Nor."

You give him a look of incredulity. Nobody is supposed to know who your contact is, aside from the most trusted Ranger administrators.

"Who are you?" you ask him.

"I cannot tell you now. There is something that I must do immediately. But if you feel that I am being honest in my claims, wait here for one hour. Then I will return and I will lead you to Nor. Okay?"

You nod your head, not exactly sure what to say to this strange alien man. On a planet like this, is anyone really trustworthy?

Boolie now gets up and leaves the tavern, leaving just you, the bartender, and the passed out alien in the corner. After a few minutes go by, you begin to wonder whether or not you're being played.

What should you do now?
