You politley decline the Freevian diplomats offer saying you just intend to build the planetary shield on the outskirts of the capital city.
You and the engineering team begin to head away from the capital city with the bulky heavy equipment, most of the materials being carried by heavy repulsor lifts. About one square mile will be needed to install the large planetary shield. Thats no problem due to Freevus being mostly frozen tundra. The real problem is the blistering snow storm.
The winds pick up and the going is slow putting together the shield for the engineering team. You assist them by attempting to clear the snow away from the vital parts so they don't become lost in the blizzard. Your chest communicator to the ship starts going off. Pressing it all you hear is loud shouts and static.
A couple minutes later you see a ship blasting out from the Capital city. It's your ship, the Pachyderm. What the hell? You think to yourself. You can barely make it out through the blizzard but you know your ship like the back of your hand.
The engineering crew is just as confused as you are looking towards the sky. You keep hitting your communicator trying to get it to work but the blizzard on Freevus is too severe once again all you hear is loud shouts and static.
Looking up to the sky once again you see a large dark object rapidly approaching and becoming larger. Suddenly it becomes clear what it is. A huge city sized meteor. You look towards the engineering team whos jaws drop in terror. You close your eyes allowing the biting frost to envelope your face.
You feel an incredible force throw you, breaking every bone in your body. Intense pain...then nothing.
