Fan Fic: Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?

You look up at one of Mississippi's most famous historical landmarks: Biloxi Light, a lighthouse built in 1848 in the Gulf Coast city of Biloxi. It and another are the only surviving lighthouses of twelve that once dotted the area. Biloxi Light is featured prominently on Mississippi's current automobile license plates as a symbol of resilience. It has weathered rust, water, and hurricanes throughout its history. Even Hurricane Katrina, which ruined much of the infrastructure of Biloxi and the rest of the Gulf Coast in 2005, could not bring down Biloxi Light.

You walk around Mississippi, asking everyone you see about Connor Tist and O'Hare Airport.

"No, sir. I have not seen this man," says the personal trainer.

"Sorry, the person you're looking for isn't here," replies the video store clerk.

"Nah, partner. I haven't seen the person you're looking for," the bike messenger says.

You get the feeling you're on the wrong track. You try another location.
