Universe
As you prep yourself for you mission to Chista you think this over in your head. The planet you've chosen to visit is without a chance the most dangerous of them all, and you're almost wondering what convinced your mind that that was the right choice for you. Surely you could have had an easier time of things on Sukhan or Oru.
But what's done is done and you get a last glimpse of the spaceport as you climb into your cruiser. You hit the ignition and moments later, you are soaring out of the Deristian atmosphere.
Seven hours later, you arrive into Chistian Space. There are no agents monitoring your ship from spaceports below, for Chista has such a deep poverty, all the landing sites have been reduced to outposts and clearings. You've always found it amazing how troubled planets like this remain in the jurisdiction of the Universal Government, when they have almost nothing to provide.
But the U.G. cannot simply just remove a planet, you think. It would cause too many problems later on.
You enter into the Chistian atmosphere, you have determined that you will land at the Bak'ra'da Outpost. It is in the western region of the planet, close to the Great Swamplands.
As you near the surface, you see that laser shots are going off in the middle of a field. The two armies look scattered, fighting individually more than together. You realize that these must be the two slaving groups at war, they were noted to stage battles around in this area. You refresh your memory and recall that as soon as you touch surface, your orders are to meet up with your contact, an undercover slaver named Nor.
Right as you are thinking you should land more discreetly away from the battlefied, a large electroblast comes speeding towards your cruiser and a split-second later there is a loud rumbling crash as you feel your whole body shake. Your cruiser has been hit on the side!
Quickly and out-of-control, your cruiser flies directly into the ground in front of it. You barely have time push the button to open the top hatch. The moment the cruiser hits the ground, you leap out of the opening just as you can feel the intense heat of the flames behind you. A deafening roar engulfs your spacecraft into a sea of red and yellow, and you narrowly miss it by hitting the grass before you and darting away.
Once you've gotten fifteen feet away from the wreckage you look back and see two slavers with blue bandanas over their faces point their guns at you. You see no alternative but to run, so quickly you take off across the field.
You see a small forest ahead so you take off into the trees. Hopefully you'll lose them in here. After changing your direction several times in the woods, you dart behind a tree and pull out your small, metallic gun from your hidden arm pocket. You hear no signs of movement or any voices talking.
Once you are convinced the slavers have abandoned their search for you, you step out from behind the tree and look around your surroundings. You are in the middle of the woods, with a river running to the right of you. You have to meet up with your contact Nor and he will be at the outpost.
Should you try to find your way out of the woods now? Or follow the river further down? You don't have your holomap with you, it was destroyed in your crash. Now you'll have to find your way on your own, the way your ancestors used to do it.
