Extend the Story - Add a Room

You walk to the nearest library and look for books on what happened. There are pictures of Mel Gibson everywhere. You wonder if he is a major political figure here.

Strangely enough, the library has match books everywhere. Must be for burning certain books...

Unfortunately, most of the books in the library are in German. However, you do find a small section of books in English. They are mostly history books anyway.

According to one book you find in English, in this dimension, the American Civil War was never settled. The North and South remained separate countries, and had several more civil wars from 1870 to 1943, when Hitler easily conquered both sparring nations, and basically turned America into an Aryan s***hole. According to the books, New York City managed to survive the attacks, and is considered a separate, and hostile, nation. (But you've got to remember, these books were written by racist morons.)

You think if you can get to New York City, you can help join the resistance movement against the Nazis. What do you say?
