Interdimensional Traveler
Three clones take you to meet Doki Doki. He lives in a mushroom-shaped house near the edge of the town you are in.
"Welcome," he says. "I understand you would like to know why this dimension is the way it is..."
"Yeah. I mean, it's really cool, but kinda strange, to me anyway..."
"That's what the others said when they got here...but they've never left..."
"Everything you see before you is part of a massive experiment. My race created humans on most dimensions...but they weren't without their flaws. They keep trying to kill each other, and so on...Many years ago, I set off on a mission to create the DNA code for the perfect human, and although I never succeeded, one year I came closer than anyone...we found some genetics in a couple in your home dimension, whose DNA made for a really interesting human if combined. They agreed to participate, in exchange for one embryo to be implanted into the mother - but to this day they will keep the secret to the grave - and ever since then, I have remade this human in my laboratory, over and over again. You will find her in every dimension if you look carefully enough."
