The Great Conflict

There is no time to call for reinforcements, you have not met your quota and you decide to press on. Walking is a bit more difficult due to your injuries but the enemy forces have been severely depleted and you cannot allow this opportunity to pass. You here rumbling in a room and the door is slightly open, it sounds like a cleric has taken cover inside. You kick open the door and the cleric puts his arms up and surrenders to you. You stun him with your gun but as you do you hear loud footsteps behind you. You turn around to find a giant lizard monster and you desperately try to switch to your PEAR knowing the pistol won't be enough but due to your injuries you simply cannot do it fast enough. The lizard creature slams its massive muscular arm against your side exacerbating your already serious wounds. You crumple over searing with pain and the lizard creature strikes you again in the head. This blow sends you falling to the floor and blood and teeth fly from your mouth. As the creature goes in to make its final blow you activate your IAC. The creature crushes your skull leaving you a bloodied mess on the floor but the little IAC flies to the center of the building and detonates, killing all those still inside. You are dead but with your last bit of energy you did what you were trained to do and take as many of the faithful as you could with you. You failed your mission but you cut your losses and at least managed to hurt their war effort.
