You run for the chest of drawers, reaching them just as the snake gains full awareness. You pull out each drawer, but they're all empty. You try to run for another, but the snake has you blocked off. It strikes you, releasing venom into your bloodstream. The last thing you see before you die is the snake's giant mouth, swallowing your legs whole.
