Hall of Infinite Doors

The plaque reads:

It is an interesting phenomenon, the human tendency to revel in destruction. While watching something be created grants an inspiring feeling, it can never compare to the secret (or not so secret) pleasures that watching something commensurate being destroyed. All the work, blood, sweat and tears that goes into creating something cannot compare to the simple and minute amount of effort it takes to destroy it. Many would never admit it, and some have even convinced themselves it is not true, but we all enjoy watching things be destroyed. We all stop to watch the house burn down, we all glance at the car accident. We feel compelled to do so. We revel in it. Inside everyone there is a desire to watch the world burn. Most people can contain it, but some cannot. Perhaps these individuals are not weak, but in fact the strongest among us. They are the ones with the fortitude to be true to themselves and their nature, rather than hide it in shadow like most of us do. They are happy and proud of this compulsion. They exercise it knowing full well that it will make them the deviant, the enemy of humanity. Still there are others who find covert ways to satiate this thirst. Those who are best at it we never suspect, though we do find the ruins and remains of their pleasure. The rest of us, deny it, hide from it, and continue to move forward in society. The question this beckons is, why? Has mother nature herself instilled upon us a spirit, a compulsion to bring things to balance? It is apparent that humans are responsible for a net total of creation in society, therefore, perhaps we are constantly seeking to bring things back to balance, a natural check and balance system. Or are we simply sadists seeking to satiate our hedonistic palate? I leave it to you to decide.
