The Profession

It is safe. You step lighlty - as you had been taught - and you crossed the courtyard. A pure square courtyard that had stalls and large markets during the day looked boring at night. No torches hanging overhead. No people. No sound except for your footsteps and the man walking up and down Lingman lane.
You cross the courtyard and the man with the torch comes back into view.
