Through the Gates
You are walking home from work on a Thursday morning. It is a beautiful day. Your little brother Ian runs down the street to greet you. His wagon, which he is pulling behind him, is full of beach toys. "We get to go to the lake!" he cries, his excited face the height of cuteness.
"Really?" you ask your mom, who was trailing Ian.
"You don't have to come if you don't want to, but we're going for the weekend," she replies. "You can stay home, come with us, or stay with a friend."
