Red Dwarf

You search around the room but can't seem to find anything.
"Must be my mind playing tricks" you tell yourself. You suddenly feel stupid for speaking to yourself when you hear a voice say.
"Hey, i'm over here!" says the voice. As it speaks you notice an object flashing on the table and realise what it is.
It's a toaster. Another bloody machine with a personality!
