Hall of Infinite Doors

Fiery wind whips through your hair as you scream and hurtle downards through the blazing chasm. For ages it seems you fall, and your cries soon simmer to sobs. Your face sets into a fearful grimace.

Cold hands still clutch your chest and out of the corner of you eye you see a pale face with scraggly, dark hair, whipping in the wind. Yet you cannot take your saucer eyes off of the yawning deep, like a dragons throat, sides alit with blazing coals and stretching endlessly down into darkness.

Doom assails your heart.

Suddenly something lunges with lightening speed from a hole in the side of the chasm. In a blur it crashes straight into your side and carries you both into a second cave across from the other.

Amoung the clumsy mass of bodies you roll on to the ground of the hole and get flung aside like a rag doll. Shaking the bleariness from your eyes you watch the two figures get to their feet, only to immediately crash down again as they wrestle each other to the ground.

The one who stole you is tall and solid, with pale white skin and rotting yellow eyes that gleam with murderous rage. 'Vampire' is the word that comes into your head, for two fangs already begin to protrude from his quivering mouth. The other figure is a large, muscular man with an orange beard and black eyes. The man slams the vampire down onto the ground, rising at last to his feet, and takes a massive stone hammer from his belt. He raises it above his head and sends it crashing down upon the vampires' skull.

It should have exploded like a watermelon, but the hammer instead deflects off of it as if the monster's skull was made of steel. A chunk of flesh rips away from its pale face, but reveals no red, no blood.

In a howl of rage the vampire lunges forward and clamps its iron hands around the other's throat, pushing the startled man against the stone wall. Grabbing the bearded man's face the vampire slams the back of his head twice against the rock. The man slumps in the vampires' strong grasp. With a grin, revealing his fangs, the devil stares hungrily at the man's exposed neck.
