Legend

Much fuss is made over you and how you saved the village, but you're too fatigued to enjoy any accolades you may be getting. You just go back home and sleep for the rest of the day.

When you wake up the next day, you see that everyone in Altberg is busily rebuilding the village and removing the dead bodies. When they see you, people are hailing you as the hero who saved it.

Many people want you to stay here permanently since they feel that you'd make an excellent "mayor". You don't know though. You still aren't the bureaucratic type, and you just don't see yourself in the role. However, you're still resting from the battle so you stay in the village a few more days to recover from your wounds.

Ultimately the pull of wanderlust always tugs at you and you know you can't stay in one place for long. After recovering, you pack up your belongings and head out for the road again. Your parents don't quite understand why you'd still want to risk your life so willingly, but they see that you weren't meant to stay and they bid you goodbye as you leave as quietly as possible.

As you travel down the road you look up at the sky and see the sun shining brightly down. You look in all directions and there isn't a soul around, which makes for a nice change of pace considering what you've had to go through.

You briefly think about Altberg and see that staying there wasn't your path. You were meant for so much more. Your travel back home was merely destiny's way of showing you how much you had outgrown the place and any doubt about it was finally eliminated.

You've only just scratched the surface of your potential, now you truly feel ready to take on even bigger challenges and you intend to do so. You're more confident than ever that your name will be known and your reputation will command respect. In time you may even rule. Whatever you ultimately decide to have, it shall be yours.

For now you are just an adventurer, but in time you know you will become a LEGEND.
