Forest Dweller
You pull up the ladder and shut the door beneath you. Immediately you hear stomping downstairs, straight to your location. There is a pause, then the footsteps get softer and fade away.
There's nothing much here in the attic besides a note... the note reads 'Elos.'
You wait for a time in the attic, knowing that the killer is most likely waiting below for you to come back down.
It is a while before you notice a strange smell coming from downstairs. A strange, burning smell. You pull the trapdoor open and gasp- the killer is nowhere in site, but the entire house is on fire. The routes to the exit are blocked by burning wreckage, and the ladder has been burned off. You close the trapdoor and pace around in the attic, trying to figure out something to do. There is a window... you could jump, but the killer would be waiting outside for just that. You could stay in the attic and wait for a path to clear, one chance out of a million- or a better opportunity. You look outside and see a shadowy figure standing by the only window out. That means one solution is gone- and considering while you were pondering the fire has gotten worse, now it will be impossible to get downstairs. The only thing to do is wait it out...
Unfortunately, no other opportunities arise. The situation gets worse when a section of the roof collapses, blocking the window. It isn't long before the floor catches on fire, and you break through to the ground below. In front of you is a path to the door. Perfect! You can get out now! You open the door and run out, but are grabbed roughly and thrown back in the building. The shadowy figure shuts the door and locks it from the outside, trapping you. You bang on the door to try and break it down, but to no avail. The fire slowly burns you alive as the killer watches through the window in pure bliss.
