Mystery of the golden ankh

You're running across the burning Egyptian sand. Your feet are screaming with pain from the heat of the sand. The bandits behind are gaining on you. Suddenly, one of your feet hits something hard. You turn around and brush the sand off the object quickly. It's an Egyptian ankh. It seems to be glowing, and the bandits behind have nearly caught you so, you realise you have to make a decision quickly.
